About the event
The business relations between Turkey and Gulf Council Countries (GCC) have always been remarkable due to the several factors including geographical proximity, continuously growing number of joint ventures, cultural ties and friendly relations dating back centuries. Qatar and Kuwait, on the other hand, have been the two countries in Gulf Region whose business and economic relations with Turkey developed most rapidly in the last few years.
Accordingly, the bilateral trade volume between Turkey and Qatar & Kuwait combined reached to its historical peak level of 1.3 Billion USD in 2016 and it is expected to surpass the 1.5 Billion USD threshold by the end of 2017. Qatari and Kuwaiti companies have already major investments in Turkey and Turkish contractors undertook major construction projects in both countries. Together with several other industries, the furniture industry has been one of those that we have observed double digit growth rates in bilateral trade.…
